Dr. Charles Ashe
When I think of Charlie, I always remember him on the football field at Ohio State. As a split-end, he always ran faster than anyone on the field, yet his naturally straight, tall posture was present even when he ran at full speed. At the end of almost every play, he would be ten yards past all the other players, jogging back to the huddle alone.
In 1984, now 36 years old, Charlie Ashe is still a specimen of excellent physical health: clear, shinning azure eyes, fine musculature, curly golden hair, and a self-confident expression. Every thing about him oozes of health and wealth. He is tall, six foot three, and thin, with long firm muscles in his legs and arms. He always dresses in the latest men’s fashions, updating his wardrobe weekly, and tossing any item that is slightly worn or out of date. In the opening chapter, Charles is wearing 1984’s hippest clothes for a millionaire doctor: a blue blazer, silk shirt, designer jeans, and untanned leather shoes.
